Culinary Arts Program

The Culinary Arts Program is completely ladderized where students can upgrade from a 5-month study on the fundamentals of culinary arts leading up to the 2-year Diploma on Culinary Arts and Patisserie.

Baking and Pastry Arts Program

The Baking and Pastry Arts Program is a 10-month program covering 450 hours of classroom and kitchen work, plus 300 hours of industry practicum.  Upon completion of all the requirements, the student is awarded a Certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts.

PSCA Alumni Update


Lani Garcia (Batch 8, Certificate in Culinary Arts) who did further studies in baking and pastry arts at ISCHAM is the LMG Pastry CHEF, who makes delectable pastries and beautiful wedding cakes by order.

Valerie Lua (Batch 1), back from pastry studies and immersion in Paris, opened Vanille , last December 2008 at the Terraces in Ayala Center Cebu.

Cheryl Castillo (Batch 4) works at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, while Vincent Opsima (Batch 5) cooks in a restaurant at the tallest building in the world, The Burj, in Dubai.

Michaelo Lagnada (Batch 6) who recently completed a one-year internship at a Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel, Newark, New Jersey, USA is back in Cebu catching up with his adorable 2-year-old daughter. Kurt Famador (Batch 7) is a line cook at The Gustavian in Lahug.

Straight from PSCA to work are:
Jasper Maglasang (Batch 9) who now cooks/bakes at the pastry kitchen of Marco Polo Cebu Plaza; Ericsson Jann Velayo (Batch 8), who is a line cook at Fridays in Ayala Center, Cebu, where O C Ledesma (Batch 10) , also works as a Supervisor. Lucky Tablante (Batch 8) now works in a restaurant in Canada by mid March. Raymund Ganados called from Florida with the good news that he was recently appointed Sous Chef.

(July 24): PSCA Team got the silver (runner-up) for the Quiz Bee


Food Street 2010

(August 8 at the One Cebu Expo held at CICC)


PSCA was the only school who slug it out with the hotel heavy weights of Cebu

( Marriott, Marco Polo, Waterfront Lahug and Airport, Imperial Palace, montebello, Cafe Laguna) and came out one of the top sellers for the day.
